Jamie Archer is a former two-time, Division I All-American attackman. He played college lacrosse from 1990 – 1993 in his hometown for the Syracuse Orangemen. During his four years, he played in the Final Four every year and won two national championships. After college, Jamie continued playing lacrosse at various levels, including the professional indoor lacrosse league with the Syracuse Smash as well as the Reebok Lacrosse Club.
After graduating from college he went on to begin his coaching career at the JV level for his high school alma mater, Nottingham, where he had earned High School All-American honors as a player. After one year at the JV level, he took over the varsity program from his former high school coach, Stu Volan. Jamie was also the assistant coach of the 1996 silver medalist Central Lacrosse Team. In 2000, Coach Archer moved on to Jamesville-Dewitt High School where he began teaching Physical Education. At J-D, Jamie once again started coaching at the JV level and was moved up in 2003 to assist Jim Pistello at the Varsity level. As an Assistant Coach for Jamesville-Dewitt, Archer helped lead the team to two State Championship finals in 2003 and 2005. Jamie took over as the head varsity lacrosse coach in 2006. Since taking over, Jamie has been honored twice as Section III coach of the year. As the head coach, he has a current record of 120-12 with Jamesville-Dewitt High School along with winning state titles in 2007, 2010, and 2011.
